Tomorrow is moving day... after taking most of my smaller items over the weekend, only the big stuff requiring a truck and strong muscles remains. Even though the house feels so empty, there is still a lot to do - moving is always so hard, but moving after a relationship break-up is even harder. I'm sure things will improve once I can find everything again. I also haven't connected my internet yet, so there may be a little break in blog posts over the next week or so.

In the middle of all this moving, I have forgotten to mention that I have a stall at the Sisters Market this Saturday! Please pop by and say hello if you are in the area (or even if you're not, it's worth the drive across town). The market is indoors if you're worried about Melbourne's unpredictable weather and is located at:

sunday stash: easter edition

More bunnies...this time in the form of this cute hopping bunny fabric that I purchased some time ago from Duckcloth. The orange polka dot is an Amy Butler print.

I hope the Easter Bunny brings everyone lots of yummy treats tomorrow (he might get sidetracked at my place, I'll try not to keep him too long).

This gorgeous bunny is made from an upcycled sweater, and is available from Palomino Morgan. His name is Sven, and he loves the outdoors. I love that all the bunnies in Palomino's shop have their own little story and personality : )

i heart stationery

I can't wait to get my hands on these new stationery essentials from Kikki K. I love working at this store, there is always something fun and different to play with:

Dinner party invitations, for all the events I will be hosting in my new place.

Individual recipe cards that you can fill out and post to friends.

And these, well, I just want these. I don't really have a need for coat hanger shaped paper clips. But they are red. And super cute. 

I will be dreaming of a more organised life tonight. There are still boxes everywhere here, I wish I could fast forward a couple of weeks to a day where I'm all unpacked and settled into my new place!

sunday stash: in the news

No more news to report today. Packing has commenced. I'm the world's slowest packer, I find it really hard to just shove everything into a box. Instead, I analyse each and every object - do I need it? Do I use it? Should I throw it out? Donate it? Keep it for a trash n treasure market? Keep it for a rainy day? Then I find things I forgot I had and start thinking of other things - that trip I took to Europe, a project I started but then packed away. The outcome of all of this is that I now have 4 or 5 boxes in each room of the house, all of them half full. But on the upside, I have come across some crafty goodness that I no longer need. So, once I'm all settled in to my new place, I can feel a giveaway coming on...

on the move

In my mind, this is what my dream home would look like...

Lots of white, some gorgeous timber, and a dash of red. Together with a bit of playfulness (I love the red polka dot wall!).

I'm really not meant to be browsing the internet looking at images of gorgeous homes. I'm meant to be packing. Packing boxes. Because in just over a week, I am moving house. We (the rabbit, the duck, and I) are going it alone to a cute little (actually, very little - I'm not sure how I'm going to fit all my furniture in!) abode near the beach in Melbourne. 

Some positives of moving:

- I'll be walking distance to the beach

- There is a great discount fabric store also within walking distance

- I'll be just around the corner from my good friend Lana

- I'll be able to decorate my new place exactly as I like

Some of the downsides:

- Packing always takes longer than you think

- You can never find anything when you need it

- I'm sure there are many other things, but I don't want to turn this into a 'woe is me' post : )

I'm going to try and keep the blog updated regularly, but please forgive me if posting becomes a bit sporadic over the next little while!

Continuing with the numbers theme - I have just discovered the extremely delightful bakers dozen shop. I can't remember where I saw it first, but most recently I rediscovered it via the always lovely blog tummy-ache. 

Bakers Dozen features the work of artists and makers from around the world - there are 13 artists in total, and each was asked to create a limited edition of 13 items of whatever they liked (hence the name). 

And better still - it is an Australian shop (from Melbourne too!). Woo! I love locally grown crafty talent.
