putting my feet up

October 25, 2010

Wowee - what a whirlwind few days it has been! I survived the 4 day market marathon that was Magnolia Square + North Melbourne Market, and have been enjoying a bit of time off today. Breakfast on the sofa in the sun - yes please! Lunch in the back garden - perfect! It's been a day of catching up - laundry pegged on the clothes line, dishes washed and put away, sewing remnants vacuumed from floor.

I had lots of things on my to do list today but a 2 hour nap this afternoon disrupted my plans to take some photographs of interesting new things that have arrived in the studio in the past week. Perhaps tomorrow. There is lots to share!

Ps. I wish I had a lovely old hills hoist like the one above in my own back garden. But alas, my tiny courtyard is only big enough for one of those not-so-attractive fold away type lines. I didn't think you would want to see a photo of that. So I rummaged through my collection and found this one, which was snapped at a friend's place some time ago. Love the wood pegs!

  1. sounds like you deserved the nap! i've been sewing (first time in at least a year!) and now have a home covered in sewing remnants. they make me feel like i'm doing stuff (but will drive me crazy in about 24 hours). :)
